Three steps to a high-resolution view
- Find the QR code
Each plate carries a QR code below it or at its lower-left corner, on the same line as the caption.
- Scan it with your phone
Open WeChat’s “Scan” or your system camera and point it at the code.
- View and zoom
Pinch to zoom, double-tap to zoom, drag to inspect details. Long-press an image to save it to your album.
Browse the whole volume
A thumbnail strip along the bottom of the viewer lets you swipe through every plate — no need to scan again.
Frequently asked questions
- The code will not scan. What now?
- The code may be worn or catching the light. A short readable link is printed beneath it — type it into your browser instead.
- The page will not open, or images are slow.
- Your connection may be weak; wait a moment or switch networks. Images load in tiers — a smaller version first, then the full one.
- Can I download the originals?
- Every viewer page has a “Download originals” link at the bottom, giving you all the original files for that volume.
- The link stopped working after being forwarded.
- Please contact the Bookhouse for an update. Printed QR codes are never changed; if the book has been revised, use the latest edition.
- I cannot find a QR code for one of the plates.
- Plates that are hard to label (such as spreads) carry no individual code. Browse the whole volume from that book’s overview page instead.
